Storefront Employee

Job Description:
Here at Maya’s Cookies, we not only pride ourselves in what we sell, but in our well-rounded employees who make working here just as delightful as our cookies. We are looking for hardworking individuals who align with our values and goals. As a storefront employee, your daily schedule will most likely differ each day. A storefront employee’s responsibilities primarily include working the register, assisting in kitchen duties, interacting with customers, restocking the cookie display, sanitizing equipment, and closing. Though you will learn how to do all these responsibilities, you will not have to perform every one of them during each of your shifts. We are looking for people who are comfortable with performing different tasks throughout their shift!

- Having the knowledge to answer customers’ questions regarding our product
- Working in cross-functional roles as needed
- Maintaining an abundant and organized cookie display
- Assist with baking tasks when needed
- Following sanitation standards

- Pleasant interactive skills, time and resource management, and planning skills
- Attention to detail
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Basic math and computer skills
- Capable of standing and being physically active for extended periods of time
- Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, fulfill orders, and create excellent baked goods
- Full understanding of each flavor and its ingredients
- Maintain a cleanly and professional appearance
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Availability to work flexible hours
- Willingness to do different duties during shift
- Previous experience in commercial production and customer service is preferred but not required
