A portion of the proceeds of the limited-edition Raspberry Double Chip Cookie will go to La Cocina, which helps women, people of color, and immigrant business owners in the food industry.
MARCH 8, 2021
San Diego, CA-based vegan cookie company Maya’s Cookies has launched a limited-edition cookie to celebrate International Women’s Month. Created in collaboration with vegan fast-casual chain By CHLOE, the Raspberry Double Chip Cookie is a brown sugar cookie studded with semi-sweet chocolate chips, chunks of white chocolate, and raspberries. A portion of the proceeds goes to benefit nonprofit kitchen incubator La Cocina, which works to solve problems of equity in business ownership for women, immigrants, and people of color.
“By CHLOE and Maya’s Cookies are a terrific fit as we are both passionate about delivering delicious, elevated plant-based food experiences,” Maya’s Cookies founder Maya Madsen said. “The Raspberry Double Chip cookie is an entirely new flavor we created for International Women’s Month to raise visibility for female entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry and celebrate their dynamic contributions.”
The cookie is available until the end of March exclusively at all by CHLOE locations in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and Providence, RI, and through Maya’s Cookies website for nationwide shipping.
